Shooting Incident Under Investigation |

On January 25th, 2012 at approximately 7:10p.m., medics from St. Joseph Hospital were dispatched to the 300 block of East Mulberry Street in reference to a male that was lying on the side of the street. Medics arrived and found the victim, later identified as 64 year-old David Gibson of Kokomo, to be unconscious. Medics discovered Gibson had a small wound to his forehead. Medics transported Gibson to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment for a possible fall.
During Gibson’s examination at the hospital, doctors found that Gibson had sustained a gunshot wound to the forehead. Gibson was transported to St. Vincent Hospital where his condition is extremely critical. Investigators interviewed witnesses who advised that they heard a gunshot at approximately 7pm.
This case remains active for investigation.
